Donations

Help build more than dues can cover.

Membership keeps the lights on. Donations help us buy and repair tools, stock shared materials, support access experiments, and make the shop more useful for the wider East Bay maker community.

Tools and repairs Help keep printers, cutters, benches, and everyday shop infrastructure ready to use.
Shared materials Support the boring-but-critical supplies that make experiments easier to start.
Community access Give us room to welcome more neighbors into making, learning, and fixing.

Give once, give monthly, or send the link to someone who wants more practical making in Berkeley.

The shop

Tools for real projects.

The space is being built for practical making: prototyping, fabrication, electronics, repair, art experiments, and the weird half-formed ideas that turn into good evenings.

Illustration of East Bay Makers Club tools including a 3D printer, electronics bench, computer, CNC router, laser cutter, and mug.

Prusa
3D printers

Multiple Prusa printers, including an XL 5-tool, for prototypes, brackets, repairs, and the occasional tiny miracle.

Laser cutter

Cut, engrave, test, repeat, and bring flat materials into crisp finished parts.

Electronics bench

Soldering, scopes, debugging, and enough bench space to stop balancing parts on notebooks.

ShopBot PRS5 Alpha
CNC mill

Large-format routing for furniture, fixtures, signs, molds, jigs, and sturdy ideas.

Programming

Launching, listening, building.

We are just getting started

EBMC is in its first real season as a member workshop. We are learning what people want to make here, what support helps projects move, and which rhythms make the space useful without over-programming it too early.

Founding members help shape that next layer: tool onboarding, build nights, classes, repair sessions, open shop time, and the community habits that make a workshop feel alive. When new classes and programs come online, we will post them here and send them to the newsletter.

Open build nights

Every other Friday, 8-11.

Drop in to mingle and check out the space. What might you make? (or fix?)
Join us for our Open Build Night with Fixit Clinic. Bring your project idea, an existing project or a repair project and we'll help you get started or move forward.
